Simone just raised €20,000 for Kinderhilfe Berlin through her 30-week Kiez Traveller challenge. Every location completed, every episode read, every packed lunch eaten. Sponsors followed her progress map from week one and pledged per location. She crossed the finish line at Liepnitzsee on a Thursday morning in September. The children's ward gets a new sensory room.
Just spotted — a massive free festival announced for this weekend in Retiro Park, Madrid. Three stages, local food vendors, a craft market and an open-air film screening on Saturday night. No entry, no tickets. Kiez Kats Madrid, this one is yours. The packed lunch is on you.

A pod of humpback whales stranded near Jervis Bay was rescued over 72 hours by a community effort that brought together local volunteers, coastal rangers and marine biologists. Three Kiez Kats happened to be walking the coastal cliff episode that weekend. They stayed. All of them. The last whale cleared the sandbar at dawn on the third day. Tammy was there for all of it.
Marcus just completed all 60 Stockholm episodes. Every Monday, every Friday, 30 weeks. He started in January when it was minus twelve and finished on a warm September evening at Djurgården. The city patch is in the post. He says the city feels enormous now in a way it never did before.
